The Future Of Cristiano Ronaldo

After their thrilling victory in the final on Wednesday, Manchester United's next priority is to secure the future of Cristiano Ronaldo - their main man.
Many throughout the summer tend to concern transfer rumors and this time it appears the future of the Portuguese International is set to dominate proceedings.
If I was Ronaldo, I would stay put - for now. I can't see him seeing out his days at Old Trafford, but I don't think it is in his best interests to leave now. He is only 23 and are the team that have made him a star. He owes them.
I'm not sure what he would really gain from moving to Real Madrid at this stage of his career.
I would put all my money on the fact that when Sir Alex Ferguson leaves the helm, that's when Ronaldo will move on. That, I guess, could be in around 3-4 years time. Fergie himself has admitted that when Ronaldo is 25-26, that will be the time when he may wish to move on and test himself in another country.
What the young winger has done over the past two seasons is remarkable. He has come from being the number one villain as far as England fans are concerned, to being the best player in the and arguably - the world. He is set to star in Euro 2008 this summer and I expect (and hope) he will be firing on all cylinders again come August - in a Manchester United shirt.
